FAQ

What should you look for in sleepwear?

Most sleepers need lots of flexibility to move around, avoiding any bunching or twisting at inconvenient times. Look for designs and fabrics that maximize movement without constriction. You’ll want men's sleepwear that is soft, breathable, and made of natural materials. Our famous Mulberry Silk men's pajama sets are chock-full of design details that prioritize comfortable movement like our no-twist waistbands, for instance.

Why shouldn’t you wear activewear to lounge in?

We all have room in our hearts and closets for gym clothes, those stretchy, sweat-wicking garments that help us power through our workouts and feel like athletic gods. But as much as we might love our gym clothes, there's one place they don't belong: in bed.

Perhaps this is stating the obvious, but gym clothes are designed for exercise, not sleep. When most of the world is under-rested, we can’t afford to be using the wrong tool for the job. So, if you want a good night's sleep, it's best to opt for sleepwear that's specifically designed for that purpose. Our Considered Restwear has some of the same properties as activewear— comfort, breathability— but with thoughtful design details with sleep, not movement, in mind.

But that's not the only reason why you shouldn't wear gym clothes to bed. Think about it: when you wear your workout clothes to bed, you're essentially telling your brain that it's time to be active and energized. That's great if you're planning on hitting the gym at 5 am, but not so great if you're trying to wind down and relax for the night.

And let's not forget about the hygiene factor. Gym clothes are designed to be worn during sweaty, intense workouts, which means they're often covered in bacteria and odor-causing microbes. Do you really want to be sleeping in something that's been festering in your gym bag all day?

If you're tempted to wear your gym clothes to bed or even to lounge, resist the urge. Instead, opt for comfortable, breathable sleepwear that's specifically designed to help you relax and unwind. Your body, mind, and bed partner(s) will thank you.

What are the most comfortable men’s pajamas?

First things first: material matters. The most comfortable men's pajamas are made from soft, breathable fabrics like cotton or silk. Avoid materials that are scratchy, stiff, or prone to shrinkage. And we can’t stop with just type of fabric— our ORGANIC PIMA is some of the finest cotton in the world, as is our Mulberry Silk. Higher-quality fabrics will make for a better drape, happier skin, and increased softness.

Next up: fit. The most comfortable men's pajamas are not too tight, not too loose. You want enough room to move around and breathe, but not so much that you're swimming in fabric or getting tangled up in your own PJs.

Style is also important, but it's a matter of personal preference. The most comfortable men's pajamas are the ones that make you feel good and reflect your personal style.

And let's not forget about the little things that can make a big difference in your comfort level, like pockets (for stashing snacks or remotes), adjustable waistbands (for when you've indulged in said snacks), and flat seams (for minimizing irritation and chafing).
